I see the tears in my neighbors eyes

As we sit and think then cry

About the lives that we saw slip away

We thought that we were safe and sound

Until the storm tore through our town

Now all that we can do is hope and pray

For the lives of those who have made it through the rain

With their whole world torn and shattered

And their memories filled with pain

Now they're thinkin' that they'll be facin' this on their own

We can show them

They are not alone

The time has come to lend a hand

To those in need across this land

Whose troubles are getting deeper everyday

So many lives are on the line

So now it's time for us to find

The courage

To help in everyway

We must show them now

That we are here to provide

And through all the good and bad times

We will stand right by their side

Cause there are something's

That are too hard to do on your own

So lets all show them

They are not alone

We must take the time to care

Let them know we'll be there
